Dashboard
The dashboard is the page you land on. It reads like a morning brief: what needs a decision, what is coming this week, what is happening right now, and where the money is. Every figure on it comes from the same records the rest of LawnLedger uses, so nothing here disagrees with the page it links to.
The brief
Under the greeting, one sentence sums up the day: how many jobs are on today and how many crews are out, how many jobs this week still have no crew, what is overdue, and, on Professional, whether rain is likely in the next seven days.
Needs attention
A row of chips for the things that are waiting on you. Each chip shows a count and opens the page where you act on it:
| Chip | What it counts | Where it opens |
|---|---|---|
| Overdue invoices | Invoices past their due date, with the amount still owed | Invoices, filtered to overdue |
| Jobs with no crew | Open jobs in the next seven days with nobody assigned | Jobs, filtered to unassigned |
| Bills due this week | Open bills due in the next seven days (Payables) | Payables |
| Finished jobs not invoiced | Completed jobs with no invoice yet | Jobs, completed and not invoiced |
| Contract offers expiring | Sent contracts whose offer lapses within 30 days | Contracts |
| Estimates expiring | Sent estimates whose validity ends this week | Estimates |
| Service requests waiting | Customer requests you have not reviewed | Service requests |
| Unread messages | Customer messages nobody has read | Messages |
| Estimates awaiting a reply | Sent estimates the customer has not answered | Estimates |
| Unsigned contracts | Contracts sent and not yet signed | Contracts |
| Reviews without a reply | Customer reviews you have not responded to | Service requests, reviews tab |
Chips with a count of zero disappear. The four most urgent show first; the rest sit behind +N more. A chip only appears when your plan and your role can open the page behind it, and All goes to the first chip’s page.
Week ahead
Seven cells, starting today. Each one shows how many jobs are scheduled and how many crews are out, and only the decision still pending for that day: jobs with no crew, or jobs with no time. Click a day to open it on the calendar.
On Professional, each cell carries that day’s forecast and high/low for your job sites, from the same forecast the calendar shows. Members on an assigned-only role see their own jobs here, not the whole company’s.
Today’s schedule and crews
The timeline shows each crew’s day as a lane, with the current time marked; the list view shows the same jobs as rows. The view you pick is remembered on this browser. Jobs with no scheduled time are counted below the timeline and listed in the list view.
Crews today shows who is on what right now, with progress for the day. When open jobs have nobody assigned, an Unassigned row appears with a link to assign them, so the panel always agrees with the timeline.
Recent activity (owners and admins) lists the last few changes across the company.
Cash
Owners, admins and anyone whose role can view invoices get a cash strip under the key figures:
- Collected this week is money that came in since the start of your week, compared with the same days last week. Refunds subtract. The week starts on the day set in Settings.
- Collected month to date is the same figure since the first of the month, with a sparkline of the last eight weeks.
- Due to you in 7 days is the open invoices due in the next week. Overdue invoices are not included here; they are in Needs attention, so nothing is counted twice. If a bank payment is still clearing, the tile says how much is in transit.
- The fourth tile is Bills due this week when you use Payables, otherwise Cash on hand from your books when the ledger is on. If neither applies, the strip has three tiles.
Payments are counted by their payment date in your company’s timezone. Credit memos are not counted as cash.
The dashboard refreshes its figures within a minute of a change. If a number looks stale, open the page it links to; the list is always live.
Key figures and analytics
Four cards track the month: revenue against your target, active jobs, overdue receivables, and the estimate pipeline. Below them, the analytics drawer holds the charts, one tab at a time: revenue, jobs, estimates and invoices, budget, crews and margin (owners and admins), and contracts. The tab you leave open is remembered on this browser.
