Install and sign in
The crew app is a separate download from the web app. Same account, same password — different tool, built for a phone in a work glove.
Before you hand someone a phone
One thing has to be true in the office first, or sign-in fails and nobody knows why: the person was invited, not added as a tracked employee.
Under Settings → Company → Team & roles there are two ways to put someone on the roster, and they are not the same:
- Invite Member creates a real account with a login. This is what the app needs.
- Add tracked employee creates a roster entry for scheduling and time only — deliberately no login at all. The roster shows them as No app access.
A tracked employee can’t be given a password later by flipping a setting. Send them a real invitation, which creates the account they never had.

Allow location, if you use GPS features
If your company tracks crew location or verifies on-site arrivals, the app will ask for location permission. Say yes — those features simply don’t work without it.
First run
After signing in, the crew member sees today’s assigned jobs. If the list is empty, either nothing is assigned to them today or the work is assigned to a crew they aren’t on — check the schedule in the web app.
Signing out and switching people
The app stays signed in — crews shouldn’t have to log in every morning. If a phone is shared or reassigned, sign out explicitly from the More tab, then have the next person sign in.
Signing out matters more than it looks. Push notifications are tied to the device, so a phone handed over without signing out can keep receiving notifications meant for the previous user.
