Jobs
Jobs represent scheduled work at customer properties. Use the job system to assign crews, track progress, and manage your daily operations.
Creating a Job
- Navigate to Jobs in the sidebar
- Click New Job
- Fill in the details:
- Customer — Select the customer
- Property — Choose the service location
- Services — Select the services to perform
- Scheduled Date — When the work should be done
- Assigned Crew — Assign team members to the job
- Notes — Special instructions for the crew
- Click Save
Job Views
LawnLedger offers multiple ways to view your jobs:
- List View — All jobs in a filterable, sortable table
- Calendar View — Jobs displayed on a weekly or monthly calendar (navigate to Jobs > Calendar)
- Dispatch Map — Jobs plotted on a map for route optimization (navigate to Dispatch)
The Calendar view supports drag-and-drop rescheduling. Simply drag a job to a new date or time slot.
Job Statuses
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Scheduled | Job is planned for a future date |
| In Progress | Crew has started working |
| Completed | Work is finished |
| Canceled | Job was canceled |
| On Hold | Job is temporarily paused |
Job Checklists
Add checklists to jobs to ensure crews complete all required tasks:
- Open a job and navigate to the Checklist section
- Add checklist items (e.g., “Mow front yard”, “Edge sidewalks”, “Blow debris”)
- Crew members check off items as they complete them in the mobile app
Crew Assignment
Assign one or more team members to each job:
- View crew availability before assigning
- See each team member’s schedule on the Crew Schedule page
- Crew members see their assigned jobs in the mobile app
Recurring Jobs
For regular service visits:
- Set up recurring jobs through contracts
- Jobs are generated automatically based on the contract schedule
- Each generated job can be individually modified if needed
Service Requests
Customers can submit service requests through the customer portal:
- A new request appears on the Service Requests page
- Review the request details
- Convert it into a scheduled job or decline it
