Winter Routes

Plan and manage snow removal routes for the winter season. The Winter Routes module helps you organize properties into efficient routes, track completion, and manage seasonal operations.

Creating a Winter Route

1. Navigate to Winter Routes in the sidebar
2. Click New Route
3. Enter the route details:
   • Route Name — A descriptive name (e.g., “North Side Commercial”)
   • Assigned Crew — The team member or crew responsible
   • Equipment — The plow truck or equipment to use
   • Priority — High, Medium, or Low (determines service order during storms)
4. Add properties to the route:
   • Search for customer properties
   • Add them to the route in the desired service order
   • Drag and drop to reorder properties
5. Click Save

Viewing Routes

• See all routes in a list or map view
• Filter by crew assignment, priority, or status
• View the total number of properties and estimated completion time per route

Editing Routes

• Add or remove properties as customer contracts change
• Reorder stops for optimal efficiency
• Reassign routes to different crews or equipment

Weather Integration

LawnLedger can display weather information to help you plan:

• Current conditions and forecasts for your service area
• Snowfall predictions to prepare crews in advance
• Temperature data relevant to de-icing decisions

Route Tracking

During a snow event:

1. Crew members start the route in the mobile app
2. Each property is marked as completed as they progress
3. Track real-time progress on the dispatch map
4. View completion timestamps for each property
5. Generate reports on response times and completion

Seasonal Contracts

Winter routes work hand-in-hand with seasonal contracts:

• Create snow removal contracts for winter customers
• Properties under contract are automatically available for route building
• Track which contracted properties have been serviced during each event
